1. Definition

     Recount text is a type of text in English which               contains the story of an action or the activities of         the writer or the characters in the story. The                 activities or action in question is the author's               experience expressed through recount text.

2. Purpose

     Usually the purpose of recount text is to entertain       in reader, as well as provide information.

3. Stuctures

     1. Orientation : contains information about the                  character, location and time of the event

     2. Series of Event: a series of events/events that                 they experienced (the essence of the recount                 text)

     3. Reorientation: conclusion or the end of the story

4. Types

     

    1. Personal recount 

         Story of the author's personal experience.

     2. Factual recount 

          is a story to present reports related to events                that occurred based on facts (actually                              happened).

     3. Imaginative recount 

          Imaginative recount is a text that is commonly             used by someone as a story from an 

         imaginative event experienced by someone. For           example recount text that tells the writer's                     experience about the illusion he got from a                   dream.

      4. Historical recount 

           Recount text which contains historical stories.

5. Language Comperation

     1. Using simple past tense

         Simple past tense to show activity in the past.

         example: 

         Last week, my friends and I went to Jogja.

     2. Using specific participant

         Specific participant, namely something that has           a certain object, is not general in nature, and is             unique (there is only one).

         Examples include: Istanbul Airport,                               Borobudur Temple, Muara Angke, Geusan                 Ulun Museum, etc.

 

     3. Using conjunctions

          Connects two words, phrases, or sentences.                    Examples of conjunctions in recount text are                and, or, until, although, while, but, and

6. Writing

              New Year's

 On December 31, 2022, I went to my friend's house to celebrate the new year. At night, we had a barbecue party, where we roast a corn and sausage. At the moment 00.00, we immadiately get out of the house to play fireworks and watch it. At 00.30 we all went house.
